Flame Retardants

Fire Retardants in Upholstery have become a ” Hot Topic” these days.Chemical Fire retardants such as Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers (PBDE’S) and Chlorinated Tris (TDCPP) have become common in items such as clothing, electronics, building materials, furniture.

Testing so far has shown these chemicals are Neurotoxins and Endocrin Distruptors that interfere with the Thyroid Gland. Tests also show them to be carcinogenic to mice at high exposure levels.

You can rest assured that we DO NOT USE PBDE’S or TDCPP’S in any of the UPHOLSTERED items we offer.
